Congratulations!
Thank G-d; mother and father have just given birth to a healthy Jewish baby daughter. It is a Jewish custom to celebrate and present the child with her Jewish name.
The Jewish Naming Ceremony is generally performed in a Synagogue where the father is called up to the Torah and the newborn Jewish baby girl is presented with her Jewish name.
The child is often named after a dear departed relative, or a great Biblical figure.
It is customary to serve food and drink at a Kiddush party celebrating the birth of a new Jewish baby daughter.
Please feel free to contact Rabbi Mozes for more information about a Jewish Daughter Naming Ceremony.
